PSJA ISD to provide free drawstring bags with basic school supplies to all students for 2024-2025 school year

PHARR – As part of its back-to-school preparations, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) will provide all students with free drawstring bags with basic school supplies on the first day of school taking place Monday, August 26, 2024. 

These incentives will be provided to all students enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year. In addition to these incentives, PSJA ISD will kick off the school year with numerous events and enrichment opportunities. 

August Enrichment Camps – July 29 – August 16, 2024, at all PSJA Schools 
PSJA ISD will host Enrichment Camps that engage students in fun and educational activities across various topics, including STEM robotics, music, arts, and more. These camps are open to all PSJA ISD students at no cost. Transportation, breakfast, and lunch are provided. For more, visit www.psjaisd.us/camps 

PSJA Back to School Expo – Thursday, August 8, 2024 | 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM 
PSJA ISD will be hosting its 13th Annual Back to School Expo on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm at all district high schools. This in-person event is catered to all current and interested families to learn more about PSJA schools and programs, as well as get necessary items for their children to be ready for the first day of school on Monday, August 26, 2024. During the Expo, parents can register for the upcoming school year, purchase campus uniform shirts, receive needed immunizations at a low-cost and visit with district administrators and staff.

Meet the Teacher Night 2024 
Meet the Teacher Night provides an excellent opportunity for parents and students to connect with teachers, meet school administrators, and tour the school facilities. The dates and times for Meet the Teacher Night are as follows: 

• Elementary Schools - Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM 

• Middle Schools - Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM 

• High Schools - Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
